Any place for lunch that's not killer touristy near Rockefeller Center?

I have friends coming in from out of town next week to see the Xmas show at RCMH - I'm trying to get out of it, but probably will end up meeting them for lunch. Anything decent that's not too terribly far away (they're old) but has a tiny bit of NY flavor/ambience?

Brasserie Ruhlmann on 50th at Rockefeller Plaza is a nice space with pretty solid food (menu developed by Laurent Tourondel) and a nice view of the tree. I had a nice lunch there and also stopped by for a drink this past Saturday night when Rockefeller Center was mobbed and it was a nice quiet spot.

La Bonne soupe is pretty good but a few streets up from Rock Center. It's on 55th.

Cite Grill (the lower key part of Cite)
        Tuscan

Don't know if it's too far but La Bonne Soupe on 55th between 5th and 6th is one of my very favorite places.

Not too touristy and quite New York. I have seen Jeffrey Steingarten (a regular) and Kitty Carlisle there the last few times I've gone.

It's quite busy at lunch time.
