Seasonal/Holiday specials in the outer boroughs

Excellent holiday pumpkin loaf at La Margoline in Sunnyside right now. Wrapped up in a cellophane wrapper and ribbons, displayed on the counter, they're pushing them as a holiday gift, and I think they're $6 or so. Unusually sweet crust, walnuts on top, great pumpkin flavor and texture. obviously a holiday special, I imagine these won't be for sale past Xmas, and I will remember the pumpkin loaf when it returns next late fall.

It got me thinking, there's gotta be other excellent seasonal treats popping up all over the outer boroughs right now. Dishes at restaurants, desserts at bakeries, etc.

Anybody else seeing anything out there that we just have to try, before it disappears, say on Jan 1?
