Greetings!
A Connecticut friend who is going through a divorce is looking for a place to have dinner with her nearly adult children on Christmas Day.

Her daughter currently lives in Deerfield, NH, goes to college in Durham.
Mom and son live in Connecticut and wanted to meet the daughter somewhere near where she is - I don't know the geography at all.

Does anyone know of a resturant (other than Chinese) open Christmas so that she doesn't have to "play house" with her soon to be ex-husband in the home that won't be hers much longer?

you can email me, directly, please at

I don't think too much will be open. You could check with the Bedford Village Inn or the Highlander Hotel, both are close to Deerfield. The Wentworth Hotel in Rye might be another idea.
You would probably have more options in Boston, which is about an hour's drive.

I know the Highlander is going to have a wonderful Dinner planned, as for the BVI I would not recommend it. I went 2 years ago and was absolutely FREEZING. The old windows were so drafty we could not enjoy our meal as it was about 50 degrees in the dining room.
