uni (sea urchin) at any all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants in las vegas?

looking for uni (sea urchin) at an all-you-can-eat sushi joint in las vegas. Not a fan of todai but have read good things on this board about Mokino. Does Mokino have uni? Also if it is an all-you-can-eat a la carte type place, is there a limit on how many servings of uni you can order? Any suggestions as well as prices for dinner would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!

  1. you might check with Koto, up on Eastern; not a big buffet like Mokino, but a sit down place. I believe they may have uni as part of the ayce, but I'm not sure. the ayce is about 25, and is a tremendous deal, b/c the rolls are very imaginative, and the quality of the fish, particularly the salmon and tuna, is outstanding.

    1. No uni at Mokino - at least not when I was there. Don't know if I'd want to eat uni at an "all you can eat" place. Bad uni is very vile.

      1. I believe the name of the Japanese Sushi Buffet in Vegas is Makino - there are two locations, you can find their website and perhaps you can call to find out if they have uni and I agree, "all-you-can eat uni" doesn't sound very appealing.

        1. There is a place on Tropicana and Decatur called Sushi Hana who does an ayce for $25 and their fish is outstanding. Extremely tasty and very fresh. Lots of selectios of fish as well as some great rolls. I'm not sure about the uni since I don't eat it but it would surprise me if they didn't have it. Highly recommended.

I called both Makino and Sushi Hana and both have uni and prices are about the same. Which is better?

i've eaten at both - i would give the nod to sushi hana - i admit i'm not a big fan of uni. as a point of reference, i primarily live in los angeles and although the la sushi houses are a cut above, hana is a decent place and makino is much better than what you get at the ayce places in so cal.

          2. Try Sushi Rainbow on the NE corner of Rainbow and Spring Mountain. They have uni, amaebi, and toro when available. These items are normally limited at ayce sushi restaurants, but not at this place. On Sundays and Mondays there all you can drink is included in the price.
