recommendations in Innsbruck...

I'll be heading to Innsbruck this winter. Do any of you have recommendations for favourite spots for a quick bite to eat? I'm mostly interested in quaint places serving traditional Austrian food.
Thanks for any suggestions you might have!

    I will be there too and I'm looking for the same. Particularly a place for dinner on New Year's Eve with great (romantic if possible) ambience but not too, too expensive. Thank you!

      I have no recent personal experience, but recommend to look at the online edition of Gault Millau Österreich: http://www.gaultmillau.at

      In the field "Schnellsuche" (= quick search) enter "Innsbruck", and you will get a list of ten restaurants with at least one toque.

      The places you will find include:

      www.europatyrol.com (two toques)
      )www.villablanka.com
      www.restaurant-lichtblick.at
      www.riese-haymon.at
      www.dengg.co.at
      www.kapeller.at
      www.kunstpause.at (here I had a great dinner a few years ago

      )

      None of these are really spectacular, but definitely recommended if you have to eat in Innsbruck.

        Vielen Dank, Michael!
        The links are really helpful. I'm happy to see some of my favourite dishes on the menus.
