Scare you?..:) VN is closing for vaca..next week through end of Jan..so be sure to get in your fix before..

Apollo Grille...someone mentioned they had closed recently. I walked by the other night and there were customers. Don't know if it was a private party or what.

AAAAAAAAAAAAUGH! Stop that!! Although, I have to admit, I would probably not go back until the temperature is consistently above 55 degrees. Please, everyone who is less of a weather wussy than me, keep Volle Nolle in business until next spring!

Well, Apollo's # is disconnected. Anyone else know anything?

Actually, the message didn't say it was "disconnected." It said it was "not in service at this time," a distinction that I suppose exists for a reason.

did you have a good meal at montien? i went to the one in inman a few weeks back and was extremely underwhelmed. i don't think i'd go back there, especially with all of the other options in that neighborhood.

If you want Thai food, there aren't any other options in the neighborhood. I think the food off their Thai menu is excellent..I like a sliced or crispy pork/ basil and the squid salad..as well as a few others..pet pet gets the right heat for me.

I've taken guests from out of town and they've always enjoyed it.

It's close to where I live and I've never been to Inman location.

We sat at the small sushi bar. I'm friendly with the sushi chef, so it's inappropriate for me to comment on the sushi; but needless to say, I like it there.

ok, thanks for the feedback. i tend to trust your judgement, perhaps the main location is better than inman or i just had a weak outing. i probably should give it another shot before i scotch it from my b-list of inman choices.

I used to think Montien was pretty ordinary..and well inferior to Dok Bua and Khao Sarn (my other 2 less convenient favorites). Haven't been to Rod Dee

They introduced their Thai menu and I learned a few Thai words from eating at DB.."pet pet" or "pet ma" works wonders..and when I ordered pad ki mow instead of what they call drunken noodles, the food seemed to improve a lot..:)

              I love a good riddle.

Just spoke to Apollo..423 3888. They are open from 5PM-4AM every day except Monday. Don't know whether they consider Sun night past midnight.. Monday..or meant closed Mon night.

Good work! I wonder why a) the # wasn't working earlier today and b) the rumor about closure has been going on--seems a suspicious coincidence. Nevertheless, if they're open, they're open.
Chowhounds would probably be private eyes in other lives.

More closings. LoBello's Pizza in Brookline Village (no loss there...) and Omni Foods on Rt.9 looked empty the other night, which would be a loss...
