Anyone know of a decent place in Waltham to get a good hot dog? I'm dying for one and will be there today.

Hometowne Hot Dogs in the Pinefield Shopping Center located in the Saxonville section of Framingham is supposed to have great hot dogs. Dozens of varieties, toppings, etc. I stopped in there once, but they were just closing. It's a hole-in-the-wall, but it looked like a great place for a hot dog. Their phone number is 508-877-4670. It's about a 40 minute ride from Waltham.

Savenor's carries them as part of their meat of the month club. I don't really get the point of grinding up kobe beef, but to each their own.

Too late, but if you ever want a "gourmet" dog, Tempo has Kobe beef dogs on their menu for like $14. Honestly, I just want to see someone order that and report back. Kobe beef in a hot dog is like turning prime rib into meatloaf to me.

I can't think of any offhand. I usually go next door to Dairy Joy (on Route 117 in Weston) when I'm jonesing for a hot dog. They might be closed for the season, though (they close sometime in December).
