Making basmati rice with coconut milk

I want to make the basmati rice with coconut milk. Can I do it the same way as with water or do I need something different. The recipe on the rice says 1 cup of rice to 1 1/4 cups of water. Thanks, Richie

I make my rice with half water and half coconut milk. Turns out great. I usually throw in a handful of peas for color and texture.

Ditto, plus a couple of ginger slices, a kaffir lime leaf or 2, and sometimes a pinch of saffron (SE Asian but leaves a haunting note)
