  1. Is there any restrictions in location? Price? Specific type of pastries/desserts you like?

    1. I happen to think the Balthazar Bakery is still very good. Hopefully not to generic for you. They have a lot of interesting stuff--last time I was there they were doing a lot of cool Thanksgiving stuff. Make all thier pies and such in smaller versions for single consumption. Also, although not sweets, their bread is great.

      1. I really love Silver Moon Bakery on the Upper West Side. As you may read from the links:

        1. Without a doubt, Financier Patisserie:

          out-of-this-world good!

          1. I haven't been to many of the great bakeries so I'm not qualified to compare it, but I do love Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bakery in the Time Warner Center. I have a particular weakness for the macarons.
