I'm looking for the best set of cookware I can buy for my wife south of $200.00 or better yet $150.00. I read an old post about "members mark tri-ply" from Sams Club, supposed to be similar to "Al-clad". I don't have a Sams Club membership, but I think my Mom does. However I wasn't able to find this set on their website, just a few individual pieces. Is this really a good set, is it still available, or is there somthing just as good for a reasonable price?
We currently have an electric range, but I would like to eventually switch to gas. I tried buying her a good quality non-stick(kitchen aid) last year but the coating is already coming off. I think it's time to try an uncoated set. I'm an idiot when it comes to cooking so i'll appreciate any advise.

P.S. I'd like to buy from a store, so i can see what I'm buying, but I can buy online if it's much more reasonable.

thanks, Terry

  1. That set used to be pictured on their website, but now it says "Available In-Club Only." I have it and have no complaints. It's very good cookware. It's not quite as great of a deal as it sounds for 21 pieces because several of the pieces are spoons of various types and measuring cups, but it's still a great deal. The lids are stainless steel rather than glass which might be a negative for some people, but I prefer steel. Last time I was in Sam's Club(about 10 days ago) there were several sets in stock, so I assume it's still available everywhere.

Thanks for the response, at least I know they're still available now.
It really does sound like good cookware, I've yet to read anything negative about it.
