Yes, r - the Grecos you mention (was where Gale's is now) was also reincarnated on Green Street (closed several years ago) and most recently on Union St., both in Pasadena. The latter just closed within the past few months. I don't think that the other Greco's mentioned are related.

OK, a historical/research question here:
these was at one time a "Greco's Pizza in Pasadena, on Fair Oaks, I think (this would have been, oh, 20 years ago)which I recall as pretty good,
and a much less impressive "Greco's" on Hollywood Bl. in Hollywood. Are there any connections between all these, or did somebody sell the idea to a bunch of, say, Greek-descent-would-be-pizzaria owners (the guys who weren't opening So Cal burger places named "Tom's # ") that they should ALL call their places "Greco's" (which, if memory serves, means "Greek's")?

My husband likes the Greco's in Sherman Oaks (next to Solley's) but I haven't been except maybe once for a slice of pizza many years ago. He gets some sort of sandwich there, I think it has salami as the main ingredient. He used to go often for that sandwich but now he works a lot further away so he's not getting there anymore.
