Rustic Canyon

I drove by last night (Wilshire around 12th, where the terrible Chinese restaurant used to be), and it looked to be open. Has anyone been? What's the word?

  1. Love this place! The burgers are great. The seasonal menu changes so it never gets old. we went on the weekend and had PE mussels which were great and then some crispy white polenta with wild mushrooms and a fried egg on top. Shared a roasted branzino and salad. The wine list is great and the service is always wonderrful.

    1. Decent food. Can get crowded and loud. Also, the majority of the restaurant is communal seating so if there's more than two of you, you may be seated with others.

Do a search on this board, you can get much more info.

Rustic Canyon just keeps getting better! I have had a window table or a booth every time I have eaten there, as I am averse to communal seating,
maybe just my luck. I have never been disappointed with the pasta course, which the chef really puts thought into. The menu changes and introduces great new items. Unlike, say, Josie, who never seems to let go of too many" favorite" items, which can cause a menu to be so static that it gets boring, IMHO.
