Tomas - Grand Central Market

JAB Dec 8, 2006 07:39 PM

The party is over. They raised the price of their tortas by $0.50. Has any one else noticed a similar increase in their burritos and or tacos?

It's not the $0.50 financially, it's the psychological breaking of the over $4 burrito/torta barrier.

"The party is over." Ha! Still one of the best values in town, no? Wonder if Ana Maria's prices went up?

If you're penny pinching, this Saturday, the Market is giving away $10 booklets of gift certificates to the first 400 families w/ kids at their holiday event... That should cover the increase for the next what, 20 tortas???

Yup, I noticed the price increase at Ana Maria's, too. Geez, now my torta & medium horchata sets me back an even $6, instead of $5.50 (beverage prices didn't change). I think the tortas, burritos, etc. have been $4.00 for the last couple of years, though; I can't complain about a $0.50 price hike!

I know, figuring the prices being raised around town in general, it's still a steal...

Funny you should mention this... I went on the Friday after thanksgiving and also noticed that the combination plate went up $0.50. STILL THO, this place is one heck of a deal! :)
