A friend wants to buy some Hangar One Vodka for her dad in Michigan. Will be delivering it in person. Should she get it from Hangar One/St. George Spirit in Alameda or is it less expensive elsewhere? What is the price range? Thanks!

I am not sure about the pricing, but if you want the raspberry, you will probably HAVE to go to the Hangar as everyone else in town seems to have just about sold out. Call them first to make sure they still have it in stock.

K&L stock it otherwise. (no rapsberry at the SF store)

Cadell Williams (the Hangar store) has 10% off through March 15th but I am not sure if that is just for online purchases.

The raspberry kind can usually be found at Weimax in Burlingame. They've had the last couple times I went in.

The raspberry is a limited edition production... the tasting room told us this weekend that most of their resellers were out of it, and they were down to just a few cases.

Price is $30 for the Straight, $36 for the Keffir, Mandarin Blossom, Buddha's Hand or Fraser Raspberry (which I highly recommend).

Ironically, I *just* wrote about this as we went to the tasting room this past weekend - it's a wonderful experience, and highly recommended.

Thanks for the info, Fatemeh. My husband became a great fan of the single malt whiskey after tasting it at the Berkeley Crush a couple of years ago. We've been meaning to go the new tasting room - you've inspired me to actually do it.
