Are there any fresh figs left in OC?

I'm hosting an important dinner on 12/16/06 and was planning on including a roasted fig course but am having trouble finding any fresh figs. I've tried Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Gelson's and a couple of local Farmer's Markets.

Has anyone seen fresh figs anywhere in the last few days or am I s.o.l?

Help!!!

At Whole Foods in Tustin I saw them last week but I'd call to make sure they are still available.

Thanks for the tips. I found some nice Calimyrna Figs at the Trader Joe's in Brea last night. I'm going to hit Tustin WF today and see what they have.

My wife bought some at the Santa Monica wednesday farmer's market this week. They were huge, sweet figs.

You may consider Marina Farms in Playa del Rey -- they have bailed me out in the past when I've needed a fruit or vegetable when it is almost out of season.

There were a very, very few Brown Turkey figs at the Studio City farmer's market this past Sunday.

Likewise at the Farm Boys Market in the same center as Trader Joe's in Sherman Oaks, but not exactly OC-friendly!!!

No, but not so far away that it wouldn't be a barometer of figvailability in OC... :)
