New good value restaurants

ohioboy Dec 7, 2006 08:26 PM

We are visting NYC again soon and wondered if anyone can give their opinion on new restaurants that offer good value. By good value I do not mean they have to be cheap. We have reservations at Babbo during our stay and given their quality of food I consider them to be of good value. We especially like hole-in-the wall mom and pop type establishments. We like all cusines.

If you like Babbo, try Lupa, same owners, intersting food at a bargain price (relatively) and a great spot for a leisurely lunch. Madhouse at night, no reservations.

Yes but I think Rossi meant that it is almost impossible to get reservations now because of the holiday season it is packed. I would hit Otto as well if you like Battali it is his most affordable rest. I would also recommend Blue Hill, Zarella, and El Parador (other people will pan it, but I really like it).
