Nice dinner before show in Manchester-Cotton, Fratellos or Commercial St. Fishery??

Looking for a really nice dinner before a show in Manchester. I like creative, great presentation, excellent service (attention to detail), great tastes and flavors. Ya, not much to ask right? Haven't done Cotton or Commercial St. but heard great things. Any comments?

  1. Cotton is great - you should not be disappointed. Busy on event nites so may want to call ahead for reservations. Richard's Bistro is another great bet.

    1. Fratellos is mediocre at best. Cotton is very nice--try the Kung Pao Calamari. Richard's Bistro is more of a gourmet experience and a little pricier. Piccola Italia is good Italian. Have not tried CSF. BTW, thanks for the Cockeyed Gull rec in Portland--we enjoyed it.

glad you liked Cockeyed Gull, I loved their Calimari and had the best platter of smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, red onion and lemon there for breakfast.

Have you done the brazialian Goucho's in Manch on Lowell St. - very very nice, have done several (lowell, boston, etc.) but Manch is by far the best.

Haven't been to Gaucho's, though friends love it. There's a Brazilian place in Nashua called Sabor with similar rodizio items--not as upscale, but a little cheaper. Good capirinhas.

Kewl, we love Brazilian and Nashua is close. I should start a new topic but you seem to be in the same somewhat area, there's a new place in Chelmsford that I'm hearing about - something grill - just off Rt. 110. Heard anything?

      2. Thanks for the feedback, I do love Piccola Italia too. I'll have to check out Richard's as many have talked about that one. Has anyone tried the ChopHouse on Hanover St.? OOOOOh, I was just totally diverted to Richard's website - why havent' I stumbed onto this place before? This looks like my kind of menu.

        1. Both times I've been to Cotton it's been phenomenally good. Hanover Chop House is also quite good.

I keep meaning to check out Gaucho's, it even had a healthy Sunday evening crowd last night when I dropped by the Red Arrow for a snack.

          1. Thanks all for the feedback, I think I'll make res for cotton and splurg for Richard's when it's only the two of us.
