kick a$% caterer for a NYC wedding!?
the subject header was just for attention grabbing purposes, not to be crass - sorry! but i am casting about for a wedding caterer for a sit down dinner for 200, standard American fare or Asian influenced. loft space in manhattan, looking to spend about $130-$150pp (providing my own alcohol), altho with all things wedding related, that number will probably go up up up! but seriously, i would like to keep it around this figure. have heard good things about the movable feast, the raging skillet and marcey brownstein - food matters, seasons and some place called 9 Events in B'lyn also appear to be within budget but i don't know anything about their food. i'd be grateful for opinions from anyone who has worked with these caterers. obviously, my primary concern is their food - if it isn't delicious, I don't want them! any other thoughts on their services would also be appreciated, as would recs for other fantastic caterers. no one way beyond my budget please - i know folks on this board like the cleaver company or olivier cheng and such, but they're beyond even my ever expanding wedding budget! thanks so much!
