We've decided to go South for the holidays. Any recs for a nice Christmas eve dinner? Prefer the Gas Lamp district. Thanks...

If you don't mind a cab ride, you should check out the Laurel in Bankers hill http://www.laurelrestaurant.com/. There sister restaurant in the Gaslamp "chive" is good, but inconsistent. Always consistent for a steak house is Flemings. If you are walking around during the day check out Tin Fish next to the Omni - great burritos and taco's.

The Top of the Market will offer great views overlooking the bay. It is the more upscale resteraunt of the Fish Market.

I thought it was ok to post here since the site says:

Right, it's a mistake, and one we keep harping on the site administrators to fix... that's why I said "the subtitle... notwithstanding".
