Fiesta Azteca on Bayview - anyone been?

  • 7

I hear they have great fajitas, anyone been? What about homemade tortillas, salsa and guacamole?

  1. I haven't been but walked by there in the summer and the people on the patio just raved. Mexico had won that day (WC soccer) and the owners, Mexicans, were especially generous apparently.

    1. I've been.

Long story short: don't bother. Not terrible. But not worth your time.

I agree... large portions, but really not that great. I found Mariachi's by Yonge-Eglinton or Margarita's on Baldwin to be better.

      2. It's ok. I would also lean towards Mariachi's if you want to stay uptown.

        1. I haven't been there for a few years, but I found it to be very good Mexican by Toronto standards. The chickem mole was very good.

          1. Haven't been for a few years, but at that time it was the middle-of-the-road Mexican you can get at a number of places, uncomfortable chairs for anyone over 5'9", and warm beer. Also saw a big container of Quik in the open kitchen - secret mole ingredient maybe? Can't speak to the fajitas.

            1. The only time I've been (several years ago) I walked out after only seeing the menu. The prices were astronomical! Maybe they've had to become more modest, I don't know.

I have a close friend who works with the owner's son and eats there for free. He says it is worth it when its free, but he wouldn't go if he had to pay for it.
