La Palapa Restaurant in SLO

Read the Tribune article. Has anyone else given it a try ?
Some friends said it was the best Mexican in SLO area.
Any comments.
We may try it next week

After reading the review, not too enticed to try dinner. Will try some lunch items and report. Did your friends have any specifics to share?

The prices seem out of line for bland americanized "cheese and sauce smothered" entrees. Too bad we can't get some of those Watsonville restos to open satellites down here!
