  1. I have never tried but I must say that -any- food you can smell -that- stongly from -so- far away MUST be lavced with either crack or msg. Or a LOT of salt. Is it possible that food that delicious smelling can be natural, or halal at best ?

That food cart is so amazing smelling its almost a sexual thing. I've never tried it as I'd feel like I was cheating on my wife.

    1. OK, I'm sold. I'm going to check out this food cart!

      1. I don't understand questions like this. It's a food cart. The food is cheap. Try it.

I understand it fully. Food carts are often greasy, overspiced and just bad. I often avoid them unless they come recommended as I don't want to waste time or money. There's lots of great cheap eats especially in that area. So I avoid the carts.

But my curiosity is pulling me now...

        2. Agreed. Why should someone view a cart differently than a cheap restauarant or any restaurant for that matter. If you want to enjoy something and know other people's take on it before trying it, you should feel free to ask other people's opinions. Its not just a question of cost.

          1. If it's the one between by the Barnes and Noble and the movie theater, I've had it a few times. It's good. I don't know if it's any better than some of the other carts I've had, like the one on Boerum outside Brooklyn Law School, or some of the carts on 6th ave. in Midtown Manhattan, all of which I like.

I wouldnt even try it! All these food carts are not inspected by the board of health. They required no sanitaion license. Thses cart owners don't even no about proper food storage temperatures. Just imagine what goes on in the garage-like place they pull those carts out of. If you go and try it tell me what you think!

            2. I had chicken on a pita from the cart the other day. Whatever spice blend the proprietor uses is certainly overwhelming to the nose, so I was glad that the chicken wasn't as overseasoned as it might have been. I don't think the cart is anything special, but for $3.50, it was a good lunchtime option.
