  1. i liked it the first couple times i went, but on the last visit, the food was too greasy and sort-of-thrown together...the curried escargot is yummy, but like a lot fo the dishes, it's very oily...but the BYOB is nice and it's a cute place...report back and tell us how is goes...

    1. I really liked the pear and avocado appetizers. So simple yet so good.

The food really is pretty oily. Fairly tasty and creative, but I kind of felt sick afterwards. Also, I don't know if they bump up the prices for weekends, but they were closer to $12-13 than $10 I think. Even though that's still fairly cheap, the mains come with little 1/4 cupfuls of cous cous and no veg. I'd rather pay a couple of bucks more for delicious food somewhere else (or a couple of bucks less in the outer boroughs perhaps), rather than pretty okay food (and in our case, not-too-friendly service) there.

Oh I agree. Though I didn't feel sick, I've been a few times at this point and the charm has worn off - both of the food and the gruff service. I do love byob though, and it's tough to find that with great food and service.

      2. Definitely overrated..I went once and was kinda taken back by the flys openly flying around in the kitchen and the very tight space- when i heard quaint, this certainly was not what i had in mind. food just eh and still trying to figure out what all the hype is about!

        1. Interesting... thanks for the insight, I'll let you know how it goes.

          1. didn't mean to be a downer for your dinner...hope you have a better experience than i did!

            1. well, Ivo and Lulu was... OK.
I don't think I will go back, and I would def caution people on going...
we had 3 apps, 2 entrees. I think all 5 were good ideas, but were executed
very poorly. Very heavy-handedm the Duck Confit survived, but the rest
we killed. Too bad, but we at least brought some exceptional vino!
              thanks!
