Steak in Melbourne

My mother lives in Melbourne and she is looking for a place to go for steak with some guests. Typically, they go to the chains (i.e. Outback), but I told her that I would try to find a better choice for similar cost. Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance.

I love the steak at Durango's, and there are several locations. The prices can't be beat for all the food you get. Decor is a bit loud, very Texan, but not quite as bad as Outback, and I would venture to say they are slightly less expensive. About 50 different flavors of margaritas, and the corn chowder is excellent.

Chart House is fine dining. I love it, but from your post it doesn't sound like that's what you're looking for.

I vote Chart House. It might be a bit more expensive, but the service and atmosophere compared to Durango's and the like is far superior.

Both Foreman's & Durango's serve a good quality product at a reasonable price. Also Pineda Crossing serves a nice steak. The Chart House is much more expensive.

If you're looking for something with a "similar cost", this rules out Ulysees'. This is a big $ place. You can check out their prices at their website: http://www.ulyssesprimesteakhouse.com/

Friends that eat a lot of steaks like Foreman's in Satellite Beach.

The ChartHouse is sworn to by some.

Durango's serves Certified Angus Beef and is liked by many.

There is a new high end steak house in Cocoa Village that purportedly serves Prime aged beef.Ulysses' Prime Steakhouse

            Hope this helps a little.
