Where Can I Find Black & White Cookies in the South Bay?

So far the black and white cookies I've tried in the Bay Area have been unimpressive. The one I heard was good was at a bakery on Grand Ave. in Oakland, but as they closed the hours of the Sabbath, they always seemed to be closed when I was nearby.

Now I live in the South Bay? Where should I go?

  1. I honestly don't know if you're going to find good black and white cookies - they are really an East Coast thing. I hadn't even heard of them until in college and dated someone from New York. He introduced me to them, and I loved them. But those that you'll see around here are pretty lame knockoffs of the East Coast ones.

Icing on the Cake has pretty authentic black & whites.

As it turns out we've been planning on going to Icing on the Cake anyway. I think.

Some friends of ours had a delish cake at their wedding that was from a bakery in Los Gatos. The name sounds familiar. Thanks for the black & white cookie tip. The website looks great.
