Sat Dec 02 21:47:10 -0800 2006 24882 yoshika 1 2064717 it's not romantic in the traditional sense, but Ushi Wakamaru has lobster sashimi -- i watched the chef Hideo-san take apart a live one w/ his bare hands the other night...the vibe is sort of mellow there, sometimes mostly Japanese customers, traditional sushi, a simple room...but the sushi is fantastic, and i've had many a romantic evening that started there, followed up dessert&drinks at somewhere more cozy like Angel's Share or Raoul's... I typically give the chef free reign to serve whatever he would like and, on a few occasions, he's ripped apart a lobster for me (for a single piece of nigiri -- I'm not sure who gets the rest).
