Looking for 24 hour chinese in brooklyn, manhattan or queens

I'm trying to host a decent chinese banquet at 2:00 a.m. on New Years day! Can anyone recommend a decent restaurant in any of our 5 china towns that will be worthy of a grand chinese meal in the middle of the night to bring in the new year?

  1. Don't have a specific answer for you, but I'd be pretty sure you'd have better luck with Manhattan Chinatown as opposed to the others, so you should post on that board. Parts of Manhattan Chinatown (particularly the portion east of Bowery) are 'round the clock due to the regional labor market there (Chinese workers bus in and out of NY Chinatown from throughout the East Coast and Midwest to find new jobs in Chinese establishments all over the East Coast and Midwest). One caution is that if you find something open it's probably more likely to be a dive, rather than a white tablecloth place, though the food will probably be good.

    1. Noodletown (on the Bowery) is ordinarily open til 4AM -- you could check to find out whether they'll stretch that on New Years Day.
