Christmas Eve & Day in Aptos - Help Please!

I'm spending Christmas Eve and Day with my family at Seascape Resort and need some recommendations for meals. In the past we've gone to Theo's (really liked but too fancy for Mom) and Ma Maison (good but not great). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Try Cafe Sparrow on Soquel Dr. in Aptos.

It's very good Calif. style recipes. It's not as pricey as Theos or Ma Maison, but still has a nice quiet atmosphere. I especially like the Calamari steak.

Shadowbrook Restaurant in nearby Capitola is great for ambiance. You ride a unique red tram down the hill to dine beside a creek. The gardens are lush. The restaurant is considered the most romantic in the area. The food is not bad, but could be better. It's a relaxing, lovely setting though. Sometimes we visit just to enjoy a drink.

      Cheers!

Depending on what meal you are looking for, I heartily suggest Gayle's Bakery and Rosticceria in Capitola $ - $$. Don't let the name fool you - this is a landmark foodie's place in Capitola. It is located in a corner strip mall. They have a bakery side (you can spend a half hour just cruising the cases - careful not to leave face prints on the glass) and a "Rosticceria" side - spit roasted chicken, homemade pasta and stuffed shells. Even if you eat meals everywhere else, at a minimum you owe yourself a cup of coffee and pastry here. Enjoy!!!
