Escondido recs

Any recommendations for dinner in Escondido? Looking mainly for places on Grand Ave. 150 Grand is my favorite but I haven't been there in over a year and heard on this site that they have a new owner. Is it still any good? Please no Mexican -- we'll be coming back to SD after a day in Temecula and I don't think I could handle Mexican after hours of wine tasting. Thanks everyone.

DH is kind of like SO - significant other - it usually means something like dear husband. Of course, it also means designated hitter. When I see DH I usually end up thinking "designated husband", a rather interesting concept, no?

We met friends at Vincents and we were really pleased with the food and service. It was a nice touch that Chef stops by to check on your meal.

Thanks everyone. I've heard good things about all three of your recs. The only hard part will be coming to a consensus with DH, but after 23 years he's just about ready to admit that my chowhound instincts are superior to his. Ten more years oughta do it :-).

Asia Vous, just down the street from 150 Grand. Delicious and elegant.

I heard that R. O'Sullivans is a fun place, just down the street from 150 Grand (towards the hospital). I cannot vouch for the food, but I have heard from friends that it is good. Same owners as Tom Giblins in Carlsbad and they have excellent food if you like Irish, that I can vouch for.
