London between XMas and NYE
While we're spending Christmas in Weardale again, our last 2 nights will be in London, flying home on NYE. So while I don't need to worry about major closures for Christmas, I have heard that some places -- including some of our usual stops -- may be closed that whole week.
London residents -- what are the facts here? Does my DH have to forego his steak sandwich at the Eagle this trip or skip certain favorite real ale pubs? What other food pubs or CH-favorite restaurants may be closed for the week? Will Borough Market be open, on the 30th? Other things to be aware of? Also... anything nice that is special to Christmas that we ought to consider for this trip?
