Back from Rochester...
And I've noticed a couple Roch-cha-cha places in NYC. Does anyone know of a place in the boroughs (preferably Queens, but I'll travel to Brooklyn or Manhattan) to get a Rochester-style burger/white hot?
You know, where "with everything" means mustard, onions and that beefy hot-sauce?
Where the cheese is that strange white american?
What *is* a hard roll? It's not QUITE a "roll" in NYC parlance.

Do you mean Zweigle's? I'd also like to know if there are any places to get them in NYC, I grew up around Rochester and would love to have them again.
Edit: You can buy them online: https://www.nystyledeli.com/cgi-bin/d...

I take it Zab's dogs were in your fists. This availability has been an ages-old question...after all, Genny Cream and Freihofer's have somehow made their way to the "other" New York.
Not equal, but a reminder of sorts, try a few Schaller & Weber weisswursts and smother them.
And Land-O-Lakes white american tops them all!

re: lambretta76
How is the Garbage Plate at Trout? I have had the honor of eating a Garbage Plate twice at the original Nick Tahou's in Roch-cha-cha. Disgusting, yes, but so good at 2am after a night on the town. I can't imagine eating one sober or before midnight, and my schedule doesn't permit that now...I am not sad about that, either!
