Fioretto Trattoria - anyone been recently?
My wife and I have been there a couple times over the last six months. The first time, we really liked it, the panna cotta with espresso granita was the highlight. The second time was not as good - nothing really wrong to speak of, just wasn't quite as "on". Also, they seemed a little short-staffed the second time, even though the resturant was far from full. Not sure if it is really a destination place, but it does have some likeable low-key charm.
I can't believe he is still in business. Maybe he fixed the problems. He really is a great chef but a horrible business man. Maybe his wife took a more active interest in the restaurant and got it on track. No longer open for lunch on the weekends (when we used to go). I am thinking of giving it another try but am in no rush. Maybe you could "take one for the team" and go, then post your experience.
