Your Favorite Ethnic in Philly?
Please share your favorite ethnic places in Philly! Also, has anyone checked out Cebu? Thank you.
pho xe lua viet thai in chinatown - skip the thai, go for the pho
rangoon also in chinatown - burmese. i think a lot of people from this board are also fans.
also check out the recent taqueria posts for mexican recommendations.
My ethnic fave is Tierra Columbiana for Cuban and Columbian food (I usually prefer the Cuban menu, but I attribute that to personal taste).
- Jamaican Jerk Hut, especially when the decks open in summer time
- Le Lechon de Principe (did I get that right?) for Puerto Rican
- Divan Turkish Cuisine
In the past, I would have also probably added Taqueria Michoacana. Given the recent downturn, I think I'll wait until I try some of the other newcomers.
Also, wish I could recommend some of the Brazilian places in the NE, but I haven't tried any of them yet either.
yum, sazon or however you spell it. mustard greens. all pho that i have had everywhere i have had it. anyone know of or tried the taco place of the same owners as my other favorite ethnic, the mexican joint on fourth and gerard i think.
Pho Cali in Chinatown...cheap yummy and hot pho for people who cannot make it to Washington Ave at 9:30 at night
Rangoon is also great but service can be hit or miss depending on the server..owner is wonderful lady though.
