hey all,
i need to get my act together and pick a venue for this year's holiday dinner! my coworkers (there are 6 of us) are experimental enough and price isn't an issue. location is, though, and i am afraid center city's out of the question. i need something less than 15 miles from wayne/chesterbrook. i have two vegetarians to accommodate so as excited as i just got about carmine's creole, i think it's got to be out of the question (unless anyone's ever had a vegetarian tasting menu crafted there??)... also i suppose i would prefer a non-BYO unless the recommendation is SUPER-excellent (like carmine's!). what are your thoughts?

I'd recommend Tamarindo's in Blue Bell. Its about right at that 15 mile mark and BYO... but FANTASTIC! Great authentic Mexican cuisine, fun atmosphere, reasonable prices, great services. But, most impotrantly, they serve FREE MARGARITAS (so the BYO thing might not wind up being an issue). I've had a few large dinners there and have never been disappointed. I beleive they have a few vegetarian options, and great fresh fish.
