Question about Lunch at Jean Georges

jasmine Nov 30, 2006 04:39 PM

I'm taking out some colleagues for a holiday lunch and was thinking about doing the prix fixe lunch at Jean Georges. My question is, is the prix fixe in the Nougatine Room? Jean Georges? Thanks!

I have done the prix fixe lunch at both JG and Nougatine. I enjoyed them both tremendously!

The prix fixe you're looking for is in JG itself.

I went last week actually and it was fantastic. They have a pretty long list of dishes that you can pick any two of for 28 dollars and it is 12 for each additional and I think 8 dollars for dessert (if you want one). I would highly recommend going. The lobster is awesome (worth the extra 5 bucks), but the filet, while good, was probably not worth the extra 5 bucks. Just be ready for a long lunch.

Yes, but you can also get a prefixe in the main room. It's a two plate minimum for I think thirty something $$. This is what I did the last time we went. I like the room a lot better and you get much more to choose from. Each addtional plate over the two is an additional $12. I went with three plates and it was plenty of food.
