We should call and tell Pascal that there is a problem.

Since I'm a teacher and not home during the day, maybe another hound can let him know.

      1. Here is the new website for Tournesol. I was looking for the website also and wound up finding it automatically

        http://home1.gte.net/vze4bq65/html/me...

        1. Tournesol does not get nearly enough love on CH. Just had another wonderful meal there recently.

Their gazpacho soup with crab was delicious, refreshing, balanced.

Had a lovely sirloin, generous portion of beefy, grilled meat and a side of piping hot, rich potato gratin.

I've yet to have a bad meal, the restaurant is so reliably good and so reasonably priced. Their coq au vin, lamb shank, seared skate and grilled chicken are all excellent. I'd say it's easily one of the top 5 restaurants in Queens, if not top 3, yet it's amazingly not packed.

I agree it's quite enjoyable. You're either a Cafe Henri person or a Tournesol person.

I've only been to Cafe Henri twice, for brunch, quiche, and crepes. It was all very mediocre and I've found the food at Tournesol much better. Is there anything that I should have tried?

              1. re: Pookipichu

also been to Henri a couple of times and didn't see much to recommend it. everything was adequate, but none of the dishes had very much zest. it sort of transported me back to the midwest circa 1984 or so.....a little of this, a little of that, just to please the widest array of folks.

                really like tournesol, though.

          2. Tournesol is quite good. Very enjoyable. They have a wonderful armagnac selection.
