A friend from Philly (old-school guy -- loves a real "red gravy joint") tells me at dinner last night that Bruno's on Ocean in SM makes a great thin crust pizza. Has anyone tried it?
I had a plate of spaghetti there a couple years back. The sauce was watery and bland. We need more good mom&pop Italian places in Santa Monica.
I would say "good, pretty damn good" but maybe not great.
Bruno's is a very, very solid spot for old school red gravy Italian. I love their Caesar salad, too.
One warning: it's cash only. They may have an ATM, but I'm not sure.
