I'm trying to plan a dinner around going to Les Zygomates afterwards...does anyone have any recommendations for a comfortable (relaxing?) meal near Les Zygomates that's not Chinese food? Thanks for the help!

Slim pickings in that neighborhood: Sorisso (Les Zyg's Italian sibling, I'm not very fond of it), Radius (had a bad meal there recently, and expensive), the Good Life (awful food under the new management), Avenue One (haven't tried, but it's a hotel restaurant that I guess does fondue), Vinalia (not so good New American, decent wine bar), Peking Tom (pricey, bad Chinese-American). If it were up to me, I'd eat at Les Zyg itself. Or perhaps you could consider some non-Chinese Asian in Chinatown: Xinh Xinh, Apollo, Rod Thai.

Slim pickings seems about right; maybe we'll give Vinalia a try...
      Thanks for the info!

I think Rod Thai is closed. I just tried what I thought was their location: 44 Beach Street. No Thai!

Rod Thai is sadly gone. Here's an article discussing the Eatery's fate. http://www.weeklydig.com/news_opinion...

I think Apollo has closed as well.

I haven't tried the food at District, but it's another option in the area.
