I am going to a concert with friends at Brooklyn Academy of Music of Saturday night. Does anyone know of a cheap, nice, and tasty place to have dinner, within walking distance of BAM? We are trying to avoid chinese, since we are going to Dim Sum the next day.

Stir it Up on Atlantic, just West of 3rd for very good and inexpensive Caribbean food (BYOB). Across the Avenue is Mai. Very good Pan Asian (Viet/Malaysian/Thai/French), also inexpensive. Slightly more expensive, but highly recommended is Taro Sushi on Dean between 5th and Flatbush.

Well, There is this new restaurant on Bond st btwn livingston and fulton ---called Taste Of Soul----Southern cooking ---I"ve been there quite a few times...The food is delicious ---and inexpensive ---try their smothered porkchop or Fried Catfish w/collard greens and macaroni and cheese.
