Cope's Corn

MeefyT Nov 28, 2006 10:21 PM

John Cope's dried sweet corn is the best holiday side there is - period. I got hooked on it visiting my grandparents in Pennsylvania. Takes 1-2 hours to cook, and it is unbelievably good. I'm not looking for their canned version. The box of dehydrated corn is the best. I could order the stuff online, but wondered if I could find it in the city. Anyone ever see it on the shelves anywhere?
Thanks!

I love the stuff too; makes a great corn pudding. Kitchen Market at 218 Eighth Ave near West 22nd St. used to sell it. I think they also go by the name of Bright Food Shop.

Thanks! Yeah I called them and they only have the canned stuff, which really isn't very good. I encouraged the guy to buy the box stuff, but I could tell by his tone that he didn't love me and my great ideas. Does anyone else think they know of a place to get boxed Cope's corn? PWEEEEEESE!
