Yesterday I was stranded on the outskirts of Los Angeles in a culinary wasteland and ended up at McDonald's for my favorite Ronald McDonald fix: a Filet-O-Fish sandwich and a hot-fudge sundae with peanuts.

Strangest thing was, the person in front me was trying to order a McRib with cheese! The clerk wouldn't allow it, but it did get me thinking about this combo.

Anyone ever tried a McRib with cheese?

I was almost tempted to just get a McRib to-go and slap my own cheese square on it at home to see what it would be like ... but the thought of a soggy, cold McRib was a bit frightening.

Well, it wasn't with cheese, but since the most recent other thread on the mcrib was about a month old, I'll post this here.
After continually reading about the mcrib, I thought, well, it's the only thing at mcdonald's i've never tried, so why not.
Stopped by yesterday at lunch and got one. Apparently to most folks it's a love it or hate it sort of thing. I didn't have any really strong feelings about it, although if I had to pick positive or negative, I'd characterize it as negative. I doubt I'd ever order one again.

They should offer it w/ cheese; couldn't hurt, it might help.
