Anything New In Astoria

My wife and I will be making our annual trek from West Texas to Long Beach, Washington (across the river from Astoria, Oregon) early in January. In addition to getting re-hydrated, we want to eat the best seafood around. Is there anything new and wonderful within a 50-mile radius of Astoria, or in Portland, since we were there last January and February?
