Wild Horse Cafe in Beverly?

  • 5

Going to see matinee of Le Grand David on Sunday in Beverly, was thinking about dinner afterward at the Wild Horse - has anyone been lately & if so how is it? Any other suggestions in that area?

TIA for your help.

  1. If you like seriously over priced pub food, go for it. I always left there with a sense of being cheated. Soma and Tryst have, by far the best cusine in the area. But they are both closed on Sunday. I would go to Not Your Average Joes before I go back to the Wild Horse.

    1. Try Duckworth's Bistrot in Gloucester if you feel like a drive or the Grapevine and Bella Verona in Salem. All three are open on Sundays, but it's worth calling before you show up. Sunday is a rough place for dining past 8 O'clock on the North Shore. Not sure what time the matinee is though.

Second Bella Verona. Haven't been in a while but I used to love this place.

      2. Thanks for the suggestions. May stay local around Beverly as will be with 'the folks' and mobility is somewhat of an issue.

Not sure if it's what you're looking for but the Fish Hill Tavern remodeled a while ago and now has a new chef/menu. The food was good when we were there about 6 weeks ago. Hybrid pub/resto feel, but if your parents are like mine, they might like it.
