I just noticed a post on the LA board about a "Frontera Grill" opening out there. Anybody know if it's connected to the Chicago one? Is Bayliss expanding his empire?

The Frontera Grill outpost has been open for awhile (it was even there when the store was still Marshall Fields). It's actually a very good downtown lunch option.

The menu is limited, but I haven't had anything there that I haven't enjoyed and the food is a cut above most lunch options, and still usually less than $10.

Well...I guess a guy has to make a living, but a Charlie Trotter food stand? Even if it's in Las Vegas. I'm trying to imagine what he'll serve.

I'm guessing another outpost of Trotter's to go? There is one at the Equinox Health club on Monroe in the loop.

I also think the Frontera stand in Macy's is good. Limited selection of some basic Mexican street food items, but not bad for what it is. Certainly nothing on the level of the real Frontera if that's what you were hoping to find.
