I need to make some fresh ricotta cheese from sheep's milk as a component for an authentic Cannoli recipe.

Does anyone know where I can buy sheep's milk in L.A.?

I'm fairly either Surfas and/or Cube/Divine Pasta Co. will carry that - call ahead to make sure though. Good luck with your cannoli!

I believe you are out of luck for this season. I don't know of a source for sheep's milk, probably because sheep produce very little milk and there is a shortage even among commercial cheese producers.

As for prepared sheep's milk ricotta, I believe the season is over. It is a seasonal spring/early summer product. BHCS carries it in seasonal. The Bellweather Farm's product is superb.
