Trying to find the name of a New York restaurant---help please!

JeffW Nov 28, 2006 12:45 AM

Greetings all,

The following question most probably is like trying to find a needle in a haystack, but here goes.

This past Saturday while at a wedding here in Los Angeles, I was speaking with a couple who travel to New York a lot. They are into the restaurant scene, and they wanted us to try a place that they were wowed by, as we'll be in New York on Saturday---the only problem is that they both couldn't remember the name! Here's all I know: It's a one word restaurant---it's around 19th.---and it's American cuisine. Realizing how comical this type of question is, but who knows, I could get lucky---stranger things have happened!

Cheers and thanks,
Jeff

Could it have been Veritas on 20th?

What exactly were they vowed by about it? Wine, atmosphere any more info? Craft maybe?

        Thanks Roze and lizzer,

I'll find out if Veritas is the spot. As for what the wow factor was, I don't think I'll be able to find that out from the couple personally. I'll be asking my questions through their sister-in-law. If Veritas is the place, I'll be posting my thanks to you.

        Cheers,
        Jeff

          I'd say Craft.

Could be either Veritas or Craft, but if I had to choose between the two, I would go with Veritas.

Maybe it is Hearth, though that is a few blocks south...

                Could also be Gramercy Tavern

                  Except that that's 2 words.

                  I'm betting on Craft, too.
