Name of prune pastry?

happymuffin Nov 27, 2006 02:59 AM

Need some help with the name of a prune pastry they sell at europa cafe. I believe it is Scandanavian but I'm not certain -- my dad came home to LA after visiting NY raving about it.

Appreciate the help!

Could be a polish pastry called a Paczke (pronounced poch key or pooch key??) or a czech pastry called a Kolache (we always pronounced it Ko latch key). The latter I've seen done with pastry dough like you've mentioned or more like a stuffed dinner roll.
