German Style Sourdough Rye Recipe.

Has anyone got a good northern europe style rye bread recipe. I buy a bread locally called "Oberlander Schnitten" that is a wonderful, and not too heavy rye with a great sour tang. I have been trying to replicate the flavor without success. I get a similar texture but not the same degree of sourness. Could it be my starter? Advice??
