    1. Try Mimo's Italian Deli in San DIego. Mimo's also has a few stand-alone shops called Grab N Go. The Grab N Go is their signature sandwich, it is alway's ready. We like their Tuna. They use capers, oil and vinager on a toasted crunch french roll, no mayo!

      1. I admit it. I am a sucker for Subway's Tuna "Deli" sandwich with everything, and I mean everything, on it. Cheap too.

        1. Grab n Go, Italian Village Special, hold the peps!

          1. Capriotti's in Hillcrest is a place we discovered a few months ago. It's a chain but I believe this is the only CA location. The sandwiches are great and the ingredients really fresh. Try the Bobby - it's a Thanksgiving meal on a bun. They roast their own turkeys on site and add all the fixings. One's enough for 2 semi-hungry folks and more than most big eaters can tackle. I've tried the pastrami and it's pretty good too.

where's hillcrest? is that in san diego? this very interesting, because you may be right in it being the only outpost in CA, there's a bunch in the las vegas/henderson and then the others are scattered on the east coast.

yes, the Hillcrest I meant is in San Diego. I think Capriotti's started in Delaware and they've migrated west very slowly. Anyway, it's a great shop and I suspect there will be more CA outlets to come.
