Eating in Thailand
I don't see any discussion of Thai food. I was introduced to so many new kinds of fruit in Thailand - dragon fruit was my favorite, and I loved the polemos (I can get them here but they are not as good) and others that I can't think of the name now.
And we had a couple of cooking lessons and my cooking is still influenced by what I learned.
I would be interested in hearing of others' experiences with Thai food.
Sorry - a typo - I meant pomelos. I see there is a lot of discussion of Thai food - I was looking on the wrong board.
But I am wondering how to get dragon fruit - is that commonly available (I live in Long Island) or is it seasonal?
Also, can someone tell me more about the use of tamarind? I use a tamarind concentrate in some cooking.
